Define Your Needs

Firstly you need to work out how much you can afford to pay, a good rule is that rental payments should be 30% or less of your weekly income. For example if the weekly rent is $200 per week, your weekly income should be higher than $660.

Once you have a rental figure in mind consider where you would like to live. Consider if its important to be close to shops, schools, health care, your work or public transport?

Also consider how many bedrooms you require and if a study is important. It is just as important to consider what type of car accommodation is important. Keep in mind that you will not be permitted to park your cars on lawns.

Finally, when making a time to inspect the property, be prepared to allocate some time off work if you need to view the property with other family members.
